Owners:
Bill McLean, Jr. - Chief Operations Officer
828-253-2371 ext. 136	Bill began his insurance career in 1983 when he joined the family owned agency, McLean Insurance. He learned the business from his father and became the company’s president in 1996. In the fall of 2000 he merged into what is now Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean. Bill is a 1983 graduate of the Business School of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Bill spends his free time biking, hiking, skiing, and backpacking in the mountains of Western NC.


Jerry Vincent - Chief Executive Officer
828-253-2371 ext. 113	Jerry is a native of Buncombe County and a graduate of Belmont Abbey College. He spent twenty years in various technical and managerial positions with a major insurance carrier during which time he earned both the CPCU and CIC professional designations. In 1989, Jerry returned to Asheville as a partner with Hutton Insurance Services. In 1993 Jerry became President of Hutton Vincent Insurance Group. He is now Vice President and CEO of Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean Insurance Group.

William B. Williamson, IV "Chip" - President
828-253-2371 ext. 135	After graduating from Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, NC, in 1973, Chip went to work for Jefferson Pilot Fire & Casualty Insurance Company in Greensboro, NC, as an Agency Field Representative. In 1974, Chip came back to Asheville, NC to work in his father’s independent agency, Schley & Williamson, Inc. In 1981, Chip took over the operations of the agency due to the death of his father. In the year of 2000 Schley & Williamson, Inc., Hutton Vincent Insurance Group, and McLean Insurance Agency joined forces and merged. The new agency’s name is Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean Insurance Group. An Asheville native, Chip is active in his church and community. He is active with the Independent Agents of North Carolina. Chip’s responsibilities include the managing the Personal Lines and Small Commercial Lines Departments, Institutional (Churches) and Agency Acquisitions.

Management:
Annette Allen - Commercial Lines Operations Manager
828-253-2371 ext. 138	Annette is a native of Asheville and started her insurance career in 1995. She handles the new business marketing for large commercial and is the Commercial Lines Operations Manager. She received her Certified Insurance Service Representative Designation in 2001, the Certified Insurance Counselor Designation in 2006 and is currently working on the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Designation.

Sherry Dodd, CISR- Operations Manager/Systems Administrator
828-253-2371 ext. 133	Sherry is a native of Asheville and started her insurance career in 1980. Sherry has been working with the agency since 1984. Sherry has both her Property & Casualty and Life & Health Licenses. She is Operations Manager for Small Commercial and Personal Lines Departments. In addition, she is Systems Administrator and will sell and service small Commercial Business Insurance accounts. She received her Certified Insurance Service Representative Designation in 1991. She is currently working on the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Designation.

Angela Holladay- Financial Controller/HR
828-253-2371 ext. 129	Angela was born and raised in Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting in 1994, and began her accounting career working for a shipping agency in Sydney, Australia. After traveling and working for the last few years in various places such as Canada and England, Angela settled last year with her husband in Hendersonville, NC. She joined Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean in October 2002.

Sales:
Tony Newsome- Vice President Commercial Sales
828-253-2371 ext. 114	Tony has lived and worked in Asheville over the last 23 years; age 44, married and one child. He has minority ownership interest in the agency. His primary focus is on risk management for medium to large businesses, including national accounts. He has over 20 years of commercial insurance and employee benefits expertise, including sophisticated self-funded benefit plans. He is licensed a broker throughout most southeastern states. Besides insurance, Tony also works with clients to install or improve employee safety and OSHA compliance programs. Tony helps clients with workers' compensation fraud and abuse mitigation programs.

Micky Freeman- Account Executive
828-253-2371 ext. 134	Micky started in the insurance business in 1982 in underwriting and rating for Pennsylvania Lumbermens Insurance Company, Charlotte, NC. In 1985 Micky went to work for Corporate Risk Management, Charlotte, NC, as a consultant. In 1986 she went to work for Dean, Heckle, & Hill, Charlotte, NC as a Commercial Account Executive and later became a sales agent. In 1992 Micky went to work for the agency, as a sales agent.

Commercial Lines:
Lynne Simpson- Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 119	Lynne started in the insurance industry in Atlanta, GA in 1985 with the St. Paul Insurance Companies. After moving to Asheville, NC, she was employed by Dick King of King-Leavitt Insurance Agency in 1990. She remained with the agency through its merger with The Hutton Companies and specializes in commercial lines coverages.

Lisa Chevalier Zorn, CIC- Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 112	Lisa began her insurance career in 1983 with Marshall & Sterling Inc. in their Poughkeepsie, NY branch. After moving to Asheville with her three children in 1993 she obtained the CIC designation and joined Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean Group in Fall of 2001. Lisa currently works in our Large Commercial Accounts department.

Fay Ryan - Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 128	Fay started in the insurance industry in 1972 in Orlando, FLorida. Starting in Personal and quickly moving to handling Commercial customers. After moving to Asheville in 1988 with her family she has continued to work in the Commercial Lines department for White Insurance for 6 years. She recently joined Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean in the same capacity. She is married with one daughter that keeps her busy.

Renee Russell, AAI AIS ACSR CISR- Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 121	Renee started her insurance career in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1988 where she was employed by O’Rourke, Andrews & Maroney until 1993. From there she moved onto Waterfield Insurance Agency and, in 2000, she joined Insurance & Risk Management where she was employed until May, 2007. She has handled primarily medium to large commercial lines accounts during her 19 years in the insurance industry. In May, 2007, she moved to Western North Carolina with her husband and joined the Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean Insurance Group in June, 2007 as a commercial lines customer service agent. Renee obtained the AIS designation in 2003, the AAI designation in 2005, the ACSR designation in 2006 and the CISR designation in 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and riding around the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina on their motorcycle.

Betty Mahery - Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 118	Betty began her insurance history in Texas in the 70's with a specialty trucking insurance company as a claims processor. In the early 80's she began her P&C career with an independent agency handling accounts with personal and commercial exposures. Within a couple of years she devoted all her attention to commercial accounts servicing. In 1987, she moved to North Carolina with her son following a desire to live in the mountains. Again, devoting her time and efforts to commercial lines servicing and in-house sales. Betty joined HVWM in February 2006.

Joette Schulte - Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 144	Joette was born and raised in Charleston, SC where she started her insurance career in 1996 with Nationwide insurance, licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. After several years in personal lines, she managed two satelite offices and went on to handling commercial lines solely. Joette recently moved to Asheville to be close to her daughter and grandson. She also has a son in Charleston and hopes he will join them soon. She has recently joined HVWM as a customer service agent in Small Commercial Lines.
Kristy Wilson - Commercial Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 122	Kristy started in the insurance industry when she received her property and liability license in 1989. She also received her life and health license in 1989. She has worked in the insurance industry for two other area agencies since 1988. Also, Kristy received her Certified Insurance Service Representativ e designation in 2002 and is working on furthering her education in the insurance arena. Currently, Kristy is employed in the commercial lines department helping to service and sell to existing and new clients. She has been with Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean since 2002.


Personal Lines:
Iva Nell Parham- Personal Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 123	After graduating from Mars Hill College, Iva Nell worked for WSA-Maryland Casualty Company for 15 years in the Property Casualty Department. Iva Nell has been associated with Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean for 25 years. She has her Property & Casualty and Health & Life licenses. She is a Customer Service Agent specializing in Personal Insurance.

Liz Burke - Personal Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 115	Liz was born in England where she began her career in Insurance in 1981. She emigrated to Canada in 1986 with her husband continuing to work as a licensed property and casualty agent. In 1991 a transfer to Tennessee found her working for a large independent agency holding her property and casualty, Tennessee license. In 1999 her family relocated to Arden, NC where Liz worked with a direct writer agency obtaining her North Carolina property and casualty license. Liz joined Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean in October 2004 obtaining her Life and Health License in 2005.

Athena Zourzoukis- Personal Lines Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 132	Athena is a native of Asheville, NC and she is the first American born of her Greek lineage. She has two wonderful children, a daughter and a son, with whom she loves to spend time with, enjoying movies and recreational activities. In her spare time she also likes mountain biking, hiking, tennis and volleyball. She has been in the insurance business for 18 years in different aspects of the industry. As of November 2004, Athena is caring for and servicing clients with their personal lines needs at HVWM Insurance.

Tina Young - Personal Lines & Special Commercial Processor
828-253-2371 ext. 131	Tina is a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She is a graduate of North Buncombe High School. She worked for a local laboratory as a clerical laboratory technician for seven years. In July 2005 she joined the HVWM family. In August 2005 she received her NC Property & Casualty license. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family and traveling.
Stephanie Dutcher - Personal Line Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 130	Stephanie joined HVWM in May of 2006 after obtaining her Property & Liability Insurance Agent's License. She then earned her Life, Accident and Health Agent's License as well as her Medicare Supp/Long Term Care License. She has experience in both group and individual Health Insurance and is currently training in personal lines.

Group Health Dept.
Jessica Merrill - Group Health Agent
828-253-2371 ext. 143	Jessica is a native of Asheville. She started her career at Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean in September of 2007. After working as a receptionist she obtained her Property & Casualty licenses, and she is currently pursuing her Life & Health licenses, as well as working in the processing department.


Administration:
Steve Maimes- Accounting
828-253-2371 ext. 117	Steve and his wife recently moved to Asheville from Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, he taught Junior High School science for 7 years. For the last 13 years he has worked in accounting, specializing in accounts payable.

Beverly Young Maize- Director of Operations
828-253-2371 ext. 116	Beverly was born in Marion, NC but spent most of her life in California, returning home after her husband retired in 1996. She studied Business at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. Most of her working life was spent at Southern California Gas Company as an Executive Assistant. Hobbies include travel and in particular visiting historic houses/sites on the East Coast. Beverly’s responsibilities at Hutton Vincent Williamson McLean are mostly administrative including agency/agent licensing.

Carole Bailey - Administrative Assistant & Receptionist
	Carole is a native of Asheville, N. C., and a graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S. C. She is married and has three grown daughters who were adopted as infants from the Country of Japan. She also has two wonderful grandchildren.
